Free repair program offered to Peter Paul homeowners

Councilwoman Cynthia I. Newbille invites homeowners in the Peter Paul neighborhood to attend a meeting to learn about applying for a free home repair program provided by Rebuilding Together of Richmond. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, from 7-8PM at the Peter Paul Development Center (1708 North 22nd Street).

City Council agenda for 7/27

The agenda for the July 27 City Council meeting (PDF) has a number of items of local significance, including Union Hill rezoning, additional space for the Peter Paul Development Center, the acquisition of land from Lehigh Cement Company, and perhaps the final amendments to the Downtown Master Plan.

7th District Meeting at Peter Paul Development Center

About 60 people turned out for today’s 7th District Meeting hosted by interim City Council 7th District representative Betty Squire at the Peter Paul Development Center. Speakers included Mayor Dwight Jones, RPS Superintendent Brandon, a representative from the Richmond Police Department, Delegate Jennifer McClellan, and School Board 7th District representative Don Coleman.

Robert Grey townhall meeting at Peter Paul on Tuesday

A townhall meeting with mayoral candidate Robert Grey will be held on Tuesday Oct.7 from approximately 6:15–8PM at the Peter Paul Development Center (1719 North 22nd Street). The plan is for Mr.Grey to make some introductory remarks and then open up the floor to questions from the audience.

PPDC’s Community Basketball Clinic next Saturday

With Coach Anthony Grant of VCU, the Peter Paul Development Center will be hosting a community basketball clinic on Saturday June 28th from 9AM-noon. Registration deadline is 6/26, call PPDC @ (804)780-1195 for more info.

bake sale and car wash @ Peter Paul Development Center

Peter Paul Development Center’s last Bake and Car Wash will be this Friday from 3-6PM. Proceeds will go directly towards helping send kids to camp this summer. (event flyer)
