Officer guilty of manslaughter, fined

Former police officer Michael Couture has been found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the May 29, 2004, shooting of Santanna Olavarria at Mechanicsville Turnpike And Fairfield Avenue. The jury has recommended Couture be punished for the crime with a $2,500 fine and no jail time. [via]
