Fire on 33rd Street

The empty and for sale house at 516 North 33rd Street burned fairly thoroughly late last night. This morning there were still sounds of pieces of the house falling, and the interior from front to back appears to be destroyed. No word on the cause.

GRTC to cut Main Street/Church Hill

Efective January 31, 2010, GRTC‘s route 13 Main Street/Church Hill will be eliminated (PDF), as will 5 other “historically underperforming routes”. GRTC’s route map (PDF) shows routes 1 and 2 offering similar east/west linkages.
