Burglary on 30th Street
BURGLARY 4/12/12 2:10 p.m. – 2:24 p.m. 600 block of North 30th Street An unknown person(s) broke into the residence and stole a laptop. The laptop was later recovered.

Afternoon home invasion on 35th Street
Crowder said the robbers, one of whom had a handgun, apparently waited outside the home for the father to arrive, and when he approached the front door, they confronted him, forced him inside and demanded money.

Silent Spring
After a shocking December that saw three bizarre killings in the days right before Christmas, the East End has not seen a homicide in 2012. Going this far into the new year without a killing has not happened since at least the late 90s, and more likely the early 1960s or before.
Man shot on Parker Street in Fulton
The man, shot in one shoulder, was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment of injuries that police said were not life-threatening. Authorities said the shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Parker Street, near the Darbytown Road intersection, during what may have been an attempted robbery.
Man grazed by stray bullet off Mechanicsville Turnpike
The victim was in a car with several other people, driving in the 2700 block of Ford Avenue when shots were fired, according to investigators. The car kept going until the victim complained his head hurt, and they realized he had been shot, and called police from the 1900 block of Raven Street.
