Man shot on Coalter Street

A yet-unidentified man in his late-20s was shot in the abdomen “just before 2:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Coalter Street” in Mosby Court. Richmond police spokesman James Mercante says that the man’s injuries are “not considered life-threatening”. This is the second shooting on Coalter Street in 10 days.

A dramatic early-morning apartment fire got things jumping today on Coalter Street: At least 19 people suffered minor injuries in a Richmond apartment fire in the 1300 block of Coalter Street Wednesday. Fire officials arrived on scene just after 8:30 a.m. with heavy flames showing from a basement apartment building.
