During this investigation 20 firearms were seized. The Church Hill Boyz was identified as a gang through a First Precinct investigation that was initiated in <a href="http://chpn.net/news/2005/08/">August 2005</a>. The gang also was known by the names &#8220;22,&#8221; &#8220;22nd Street,&#8221; and &#8220;Deuce-Deuce.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The citizens really got the ball rolling early in this investigation. They gave us names, times, and locations,&#8221; said Special Investigations Division Lt. Hamlet Hood. &#8220;The community let us know they didn&#8217;t want to live in this type of environment anymore.
