Public hearing set for Union Hill O&H

The Commission of Architectural Review last week sent out a letter (PDF) to all property owners in Union Hill as formal notice that the neighborhood is being considered for status as an Old and Historic District. A public hearing will be held on May 14 at 6PM at City Council Chambers in City Hall.

BHC’s Community Day @ Beckstoffer’s

The Better Housing Coalition had their Community Day today at the former Beckstoffer’s Mill. Food was served, kids bounced in a moon bounce, community groups had tables set up, and tours were given of the now vacant mill.

Better Housing Coalition is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this April, and as a part of the celebration are hosting a Community Day event on Sunday April 5 from noon-4PM. The event will be held at the former Beckstoffer’s Lumber Mill at 28th and R Streets.
