No Back-to-School Parade for 2009
The long-running Back-to-School Parade will not take place this year. We’ve got word from City Council 7th District Liaison Sam Patterson that “there will be no City events for Back-to-School this year”.

The 18th Annual Richmond City Back-to-School Parade, Rally and Talent Show will be held August 23. The parade kicks off at 10AM in Chimborazo Park and will end at the Richmond Coliseum. The 17th Annual City-Wide Back-to-School Parade and Rally is this Saturday! The parade begins at 10AM at Chimborazo Park and will proceed down Broad Street to 25th Street to Fairmount Avenue to Mosby to the Richmond Coliseum.

15th Annual Back-to-School Parade
The 15th Annual Back-To-School Parade will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2005. Starting at 10am at Chimborazo Park, the parade will go down Broad to 25th Street to Fairmount to Mosby to the Martin Luther King Bridge to Leigh and 8th Streets.
Applications being accepted for East End Back-to-School Extravaganza
Applications are available through Aug. 23 for participation in the 13th Annual East End Minister’s, City of Richmond, Richmond Public Schools Citywide Back-to-School Extravaganza, Parade, Rally, Revival and Pageant. Needed are parade participants, Step teams, youth gospel groups, R&B singers, dancers and more.
