Sunny Market now even more gross (UPDATED)

The old Sunny Market is a bad neighbor to the homes behind it on 26th Street and O Street. Standing water several feet deep in the loading depot out back has become a bathroom of choice for certain folks and there is already heavy insect activity in the area.

The agenda included presentations by M.Khara on the 25th Street Traffic Control Circle, representatives from the Department of Public Utilities on Senior Heating Bills/Payment Plans, a preview on 2008 Assessment Updates, and the petition for traffic-slowing measures on Venable Street.

WTVR6 is reporting a two-alarm fire affecting several buildings in the 1000 block of North 25th Street. Two people had to be rescued from inside one of the buildings.
