The 18th Annual Richmond City Back-to-School Parade, Rally and Talent Show kicked off at 10AM in Chimborazo Park and wound its way to the Richmond Coliseum. Beginning at noon, a free school supplies and lunch rally will be held until 2PM, followed by a talent show in Festival Park outside the Coliseum.

There was a house fire at 2802 East Clay Street just after 3PM this afternoon. It was reported that the firefighters had to break the door down next door to get in to the burning house. Witnesses report that a dog was rescued and a cat is still missing.
