Armstrong drops last game of season
The Armstrong Wildcats (2-8) ended their season with a 14-12 home loss to the Atlee Raiders. A pair of 4th quarter touchdowns sealed the deal for the Raiders (2-8).

Wildcats finally score in loss to Henrico
The Armstrong Wildcats fell to 3-5 with a 27-12 away loss to the Henrico Warriors. Armstrong’s 2nd quarter touchdown was their first mark on the scoreboard in 18 quarters of play. Armstrong’s last game of the season will be at home this Friday against the Atlee Raiders (1-7).

On the heels of last week’s drubbing by Hanover, Armstrong HS falls to 0-3 in the division and 2-5 overall after losing tonight 45-0 at home to Highland Springs HS (#6 CBS6/AM910/#7 RTD).

The Lee Davis Confederates cemented their 43-6 win over the Armstrong Wildcats (2-3) last night with a 20 point 4th quarter, including a blocked punt touchdown by Tyler Moody.

With a 21-12 victory over the formerly undefeated Colonial Heights Colonials , Armstrong moves to 2-2 and matches their win total from last year. Next week the Wildcats play @ Lee-Davis High School.

The blocked extra-point and a scoreless 2nd half made the difference in Armstrong’s 1 point loss at home to Benedictine last night. Armstrong (1-2) plays next Friday at Colonial Heights (2-0).

Cyclus Bike Shop coming to Marshall Street
Cyclus Bike Shop plans to open by November 1 at 2709 East Marshall Street. Brett and Suzanne are currently renovating the spot for the shop, which when open will “carry new and used bicycles and parts for the Church Hill and Downtown Communities as well as perform repairs.”

Armstrong routs TJ 52-0
Mark Robinson ran for 180 yards and scored three touchdowns, Tyree Williams made four catches for 114 yards and a touchdown, and DeAngelo Wilson and Xavier Gary each caught a touchdown pass in a 52-0 drubbing of TJ. The Wildcats (1-1) host Benedictine (2-2) next Friday.

The Armstrong H.S. Wildcats 2008-2009 football season kicks off this Thursday with a home game against the John Marshall H.S. Justices. The Wildcats finished 2-9 last season.

Richmond’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities is looking for volunteers to coach the 2008 Football Season at Creighton Court Community Center. Despite leading for most of the game, Armstrong lost to Henrico 20-15 in a game at home that had been postponed due to Friday’s rain. The loss drops them to 2-7 overall, 0-5 in the Capital District.

After facing #1 Highland Springs last week, the Wildcats were at #4 Varina this week and lost this time 42-8. Armstrong briefly led 8-7; the loss dropped them to 2-6 overall, 0-4 in the Capital District. The last 2 games are Henrico at home and away at Atlee, both of which be Wildcats victories.

Playing at home last night, Armstrong (0-2, 2-4) lost to Hanover 18-6 in their 2nd Capital District game of the season. The Wildcats’ only touchdown came via an 86-yard kickoff return by Tyee Williams (see the video!).
