Are your street lights out?

I just called Dominion to report a street light out and was redirected to the city at 646-8550 which answers ‘emergency gas and water’ – I told them about the street light and they told me they have a wide-spread outage of city street lights in the Church Hill area.

It took 3 calls to the city to get my light changed. When you call, ask for a ticket number. Once I did that the city came that very night.

Out here at 21st@Q, but driving around the neighborhood lights seem to be on from 30th on up.

Street lights? Yes. Gunshots? Yes. 6 distinct shots. Anyone else hear them last night at about 9:45? Then the still empty Lava Lofts (Marshall @ N 32) got a full scale RPD search by flashlights at 10 pm.
Oh, so those WERE gunshots! I heard them too, then. 4-5 pops, a brief pause, and then a few more. The Marshall/32nd area seems to be about where they came from.
Lucky Canine, I heard five distinct shots about 9:30 p.m. somewhere between 26th and 27th, Broad and Marshall. Called it in, was told by 911 that there were officers patroling (I did not see any) and that they were doing extra patrols because the street lights were out. Also heard fireworks (I think that’s what it was) from the area of 21st or maybe 20th and Broad, reported that and was told that someone had already called it in. Street lights were on at 6 a.m. this morning, don’t know when they came on.
#8 Observer, I think we had two separate incidents of gunshots, then. I was actually outside, and heard five evenly spaced distinct pops, nothing following. But I’m close to 26th St., and find it hard to believe tthat what I heard came from 32nd. These were closer to 26th, possibly as far as 27th but that’s it.
Hmm…I live by George Mason Elementary on 27th and often hear shots coming from the area around O/P and 30/31st St. The shots I heard seemed like they came from there, so i just figured it was the usual crazy person that decides (on occasion) to pop off a few rounds in the air for whatever reason.

I heard 5 distinct gunshots around 9:47pm around 32nd and Leigh/Clay.
I heard the gun shots and called the police. As I was on the phone with them, I heard another round. I am glad to hear that they did respond and search. I live on 29th and Marshall.
back to the lights…is 29th and broad going to be a flashing light forever, or is the city going to eventually reset the redlight?
