Before and after on 23rd Street
Cameron sent in the above photo of the east side of the 1100 block of 23rd Street from 1998 (below is from this morning). The house to the far right sat vacant until a restoration by BHC in 2006. Other photos from the same time period show how blasted were the rest of that block and the same block of 22nd Street.
The roof over the porch for the center infill is totally incorrect but otherwise the building fits in as it should.
Nice to see reminders of the great improvements our neighborhood has seen. Entirely different block!
