Shooting in Fairfield

ROBBERY/AGGRAVATED ASSAULT (SHOOTING) (X2) 8/14/11 6:28 p.m. 2500 block of Fairfield Avenue Two males reported they were robbed by four unknown males who shot one of the victims. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Armstrong football gets underway this week

The 2011 Armstrong High football schedule kicks off this Fri 8/19 5PM with a home scrimmage vs. Huguenot High School. The season officially begins Fri 9/9 with a home game vs TJ.

Murder rate historically low in East End and Richmond

There have been only three murders so far this year in the East End and 18 city-wide. Richmond is on track for the lowest total and per capita killings since 1961, with numbers on par with the 1940s/50s.
