Police say someone kicked in the front door of a home in the 300 block of North 33rd Street just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

Another door was kicked in at ~5:45AM Saturday morning on 500 block of 27th St. I happened to be awake… sounded like a gun shot, relieved it wasn’t.

It was a kick and run and the home was occupied. They obviously we’re not trying to be discrete about it… there has to be quieter ways to enter a home than kicking the door off the hinges at nearly 6AM.
sounds like a dick thing to do. what would be the point? practice for the real thing?
and as a side note, sounds all too familiar. someone (who has since been apprehended) was breaking into homes mid-day about two years ago by kicking in the back doors…although, her was stealing everything, including your half used OJ and frozen meats. no lie.

huh… i wonder if that person is out? my neighbor got broken into a month or so ago, and they stole his pop tarts! not to mention his tv and vintage baseball collection!
it’s sad to realize how desperate someone must be to steal an open box of strawberry tarts…
