I had planned to post about this on the first but my computer was being reloaded after losing a hard drive. But I’m celebrating 140 years of the family owning this property! July 1, 1871.
What baffles me is how could the map of Woodville be drawn by Micajah Bates in 1869 when he died in 1861? Was there another M Bates? Was I jumping to conclusions or maybe it was drawn all those years before but … I dunno…
