One dead in Peter Paul fire

An elderly man is now dead after a fire broke out in his East End home overnight.

The Richmond Fire Department responded to the 1800 block of Peter Paul Boulevard for the fire, and found a house full of heavy smoke. They forced in the front door and pulled an elderly man from the home, but he was pronounced dead on the scene.
