Hawks are real naturals at hunting. They’ve been surviving on small animals like squirrels forever. My only comment here is to be careful letting your beloved small pets run around unleashed.
I witnessed Hawk vs Pigeon vs Cat a few months back (on 26th Street, I think). It was like an urban version of Battle at Kruger.
Hawk – 1
Squirrel – 0

a couple of months ago it was snowing feathers on 22nd street. rob elves caught some pics of a bigass hawk eating blue jays like popcorn . assorted upset avians registered their dislike but mr. predator continued his munchout unfazed by the controversy. sheesh. nature red in tooth and claw!.
