The Church Hill Reunion 2010 will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010.

Jones gets 3 years for dogfighting

Deano Jones was sentenced today to 3 years in prison: Authorities seized 21 pit bulls from Jones’ home in the 1700 block of North 23rd Street. Seventeen of the animals had to be euthanized, according to testimony in court today. Authorities also recovered a treadmill, steroids and other materials associated with dogfighting.

The electricity has been out along at least the Fairmount corridor for the past 3 hours. No word on why or when power will be restored.

Site security for new construction

A new house is going up at the double lot at 3312/3314 N Street some 16 years after the previous house was demolished. Interestingly, the crew seems to be living on site during the construction.
