Eleven houses under $30K
Poking around Zillow shows 11 houses in the East End for sale for less than $30,000.
ABOVE: 1314 North 21st Street – $17,500 (oodle.com)
At least 7 of the 11 houses are being sold after being foreclosed upon. The Federal National Mortgage Association (BKA Fannie Mae) holds a handful of the properties (and 58 across the city).
Interestingly, of all of the cheapest houses for sale in the area, only one of them (1410 North 25th) showed up our survey of The Most Blighted Houses in Church Hill. Another, 1202 North 20th Street, is located next to one of those most blighted.
Of the 11 houses, only 1409 Mechanicsville Tpke was part of any of the slumlord empires responsible for so many of the vacant houses, having recently been owned by Oliver Lawrence.

Well I plan to do something about it I will start with one home and rehab them and either resale or refinance and rent them. I will be involved in the community Im coming to richmond I will help to make church hill one of the best districts in richmond and I will need help drop me a line lets talk
I will also be getting with hud to provide homeownership classes as well as budgeting/savings and business classes so that the people of church hill can grow and prosper
