A couple of lost dogs
Readers sent in these today:
There is a loose pomeranian at Chimbo park. It keeps darting in and out of traffic on Broad. One witness called the police and on my way back home I passed 2 police cars heading that direction so hopefully there have been able to catch it.
Medium-sized long haired black dog with a leash wandering in the mews between Broad and Grace on the 2300 block. Appears friendly but wouldn’t let us get too close.
I just saw the pom this evening in Chimbo Park. S/he seemed willing to play with other dogs, but would not come to me.
I just saw this little pom behind the gazebo building on the far east side of Chimbo. I followed him/her behind the building and he was snacking on some bojangles that he pulled out of the trash. I tried catching him and he darted away. He was wearing no collar and taking into consideration his condition, appearance, and fear of people, he has been living outside a while. Call me if you need me to show you wear I saw him/her 833-1776.
I would agree with that–I just went back out and took him/her a little food and a blankie and sat in the gazebo with him/her for half an hour. He was willing to come up and gingerly sniff me, but the slightest move on my part and he backed off.
