Super cute dog. This isn’t Oliver, the one who got lost over on Libby Terrace back last spring, is it?
That’s a Bichon not a Poodle.
It’s a poodle mix. Maybe crossed with a Bichon.
This looks a like my neighbors dog on 32nd. I check into it.
I think saw signs for a similar looking dog in the Fan, somewhere on Floyd in the 1100-1800 block range. I don’t remember if the signs were FOUND or LOST though…
That dog rocks. Is there a Fan blog that we could post this link to as a way of following up on the potential Fan connection here?
Yep, definitely not a poodle, miniature or otherwise. I hope s/he finds her/his home though!
Hey – you’re right: This one does look a lot like Oliver. Or maybe a son of Oliver.

It’s a Bichon!!!
Oliver had a microchip, but his hairs were straight not curly like a Bichon’s. Anyway, probably a good idea to check at the vet and see if this one has a chip!
Did you call SPCA, police and animal control? Those are the places the owner may contact.
This looks almost exactly like my dog, who was definitely sold as a toy poodle. Not that it matters what breed it is, I just hope it’s owner has been found. I met a woman on 32nd street about 2 weeks ago who had a dog that looked like this, named China. Maybe this is China? She lived in the long row, about 4 or 5 porches up from Grace St.
CW @12 – why don’t you go see if you can find that woman? Or print a copy of this thread and post it on phone poles on that block? I’d sure like to hear one more story of a lost pet being united with it’s family….
It’s most likely a bichon/poodle mix. I know, because I have one that looks just like this one. I am more than happy to foster or adopt this one if the owner isn’t found.
This is definitely a bichon because I have one. I’ll volunteer to keep him/her until the owner can be found as he would make a great playmate for mine. I’ll also make every effort to look for the owner as I know how I would feel if mine were lost.
why would you guys call that a bichon? cuz its got a furry head? my toy poodle looks exactly like that -its a poodle. nto a bichon!
and that is obviously not a bichon, look at its tail, the bichon has the superr curled taill… (poodles kind of do, but bichons have the really curled tails, they kidna lean to the side.) its a miniature poodle.
i really dont think dogs “run away”
most get out of their homes, and go back. it only never goes back if either someone catches it, or if it was neglected… i walk with my dog off leash on the street, she doesnt run away, and were i live (brazil) a lot of people raise their dogs on the street, they go home to be fed and stuff… but yeah, you did the right thing anyways, you cant really leave a dog on the street, cause idk,, it could be dangerous…
okay everyone this is in fact a toy poodle purebred i myself own one well use to own one until he passed away last December he looked exactly like this
