		<description>Companies and development deals are scurrying from the city like a scalded dogs and looking at the counties for easier to complete deals.  Tie that into a tight credit market and an impossible to navigate permitting process, and one ends up going to the least path of resistance.  And, that path my friends, is not the City of Richmond.

It&#039;s a year or two too late. The word has gotten out.  Richmond is closed for business that doesn&#039;t &quot;fit the box&quot;. 

I expect property tax rates to cover the lost tax base will increase in 2010. (Tax factoid- residential doesn&#039;t pay the freight as much as you think it does.)</description>
