Arrest made in Whitcomb shooting
The Richmond Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the homicide of an Asian male delivery driver on July 27 in the 2400 block of Whitcomb Street.
Tobias J. Young, 18, of the 1000 block of North 21st Street, was arrested without incident by First Precinct officers Wednesday night. Young has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Questions about the charges against Young should be directed to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
This investigation is ongoing. Richmond Police is still working on official confirmation of the victim’s identity. Anyone with further information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

I’m curious… If Bezzo is convicted of this, are all yall gonna come back and be like, never mind my bad or will it be FREE BEZZO if the judge says that he did kill that guy? Cops do fuck up and get the wrong guy sometimes, we all know that, but it seems like the hood gets all up behind somebody even when they’ve done awful shit that is NOT GOOD FOR ANYBODY.
What is interesting is the dichotom,y represented by these posts. One group defending whether guilty or not; one group condeming without knowing the facts. Personally, I think RPD probably did get the right guy. Proving it may be another story.
But Whitcomb Court, et al will never be anything but a dead end dungeon until it is willing to police itself.

A man was shot down in cold blood with probably less than $100 on him. Another human being, with just as much right to live on this earth as any other human being.
There is some one, maybe the suspect, that pulled that trigger and the scary thing is, that person lives or hangs out right in the neighborhood! Are their any neighbors that are glad the police have been responsive and support their efforts to remove murders from the community?
I will wait until all the facts come out before I judge but I am glad that the police are on the case and have collared a suspect. I am sure that not everyone in Whitcomb courts supports the thuggery that led to this murder and I hope to hear a few residents post in support the police’s efforts to keep all of our neighborhoods safe.
