I love the adopt a tree program.
We could use that on N 36th st. Unfortunately I’ve been told it will not work here. There are two very sad trees on this little block. One tall, the other not as much, both pruned back so much over the years that they are basically tall stumps with branchs at the top.
They belong to the city and the city will not replace them till they get sick.
I would love to adopt a tree on my block but I won’t until they put in a sidewalk like they promised when we moved in
Eric – how long have you been waiting for the sidewalk & where?
we are also waiting for sidewalk repair. it’s been torn up around the gas line since we moved in in November 2007. we’ve called periodically and we’re told “you’re on the list, it could take up to a year”. we’re still waiting.
