Orienteering meet draws wide range of competitors
Thirty-two teams signed up to compete in the Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities’ first orienteering meet, which was held February 21 in Chimborazo Park. They consisted of families, children, and adults, all of varying skill levels ranging from the first-time novices to regular competitors. Competitors came from as far away as Baltimore.

Lieutenant Laino’s Sector 111 report for February is available (PDF): During this reporting period Sector 111 officers answered 969 radio calls, compiled 118 reports and investigated 11 vehicle accidents. They also made 106 misdemeanor arrests, 29 felony arrests, executed 41 warrants, issued 107 traffic summons and conducted 65 field interviews.
