WOO HOO!
I can’t wait to do a happy hour there again!
The correct order is as follows: Get your Drink on, Then your snack on,Followed by Freak on, Continuing to gettin your Swerve on! After that I get my nap on (just ’cause no one wants to be around me by then)….Congrats to Patrick Henry’s! I can almost taste my sour apple cosmo-tini!
Hey WhoDat,
are you going to get ur drink on with ur buddy Mr. Hose-n-stuffer?
AWESOME! JES, would you like to go there for drinks tonight?
Magneto, I’d love to.
Eric S. Huffstutler, you’re more than welcome to join us. We don’t know you, but I think we’d find plenty of things to talk about.
Hey YPV!
I tried to ask him- but he got all miffed when I put his name into the chorus of Ray Parker Jr’s Ghostbusters Theme Song “Who ya gonna call….
BUFF-MUFFLER!”
I guess it will be just you & me at the bar of PH’s.
Is this going to turn out to be yet another childish (hide behind a fake handle) name calling and bashing thread?
Eric
No it wont! (Only if you call me by my christain name, Prof Egads Bartholomew Buttcheeks… Serously- Lets celebrate at PH! I have grey hair and a beard. Typically I wear a large hat to cover my bald head.I exclusively drink white wine.
I tend to lisp the more I imbibe. The first one is on me!Let’s Celebrate in honor of the occasion!
Not nice, Whodat
Whodat! - I guess that was a half-hearted attempt at an appology - accepted. May take you up on that offer one night.
Eric
beth… I am above it all and try not to hold grudges. Thanks for stepping in though :-)
Whodat! - BTW… I am 6′4″ tall, 217 pounds and have a white goatee. No hat (still have the hair, for now).
Eric
it should be called pat”eric” henry’s from now on in recognition for all your constructive efforts.
name, address and phone number available on request.
Yeah! Can’t wait to go for libations!
Question…will they be have a full bar or just beer & wine? I had been when it was Accapella but only ate upstairs and never went to the pub before…
Hey WhoDat, as you know I am displaced and misplaced and occassionally disgraced, therefore I am unable to join you, larrson, and that 6′4″ hunk o hunk o burning manmeat sporting the white nut duster on his chin at Pat-Eric-k Henry’s this evening. However, as you would thay, toth one bach for me and put a thcotch on ithe for my girl!!! By the way Mr. Butt-Stuff-ler, have you met Bill O’Connor?
After reading this thread I can’t decide if I should be scared or scarred.
Ry, both would probably be in order…
Displaced… sounds like you started early this evening. Name doesn’t ring a bell (or anything else). Then again I don’t get out much - with the same person for 22 years :-)
I am glad that Patrick Henry Pub has gotten great reviews but the Northern Italian cuisine just isn’t something I enjoy as I don’t like boiled or steamed seafood. I am more of a broiled, blackened, and fried type of seafood person. I know they have more on the menu (caught it in the newsletter) but the majority is this type of food and I don’t like to go to a sit down dinner and eat hamburgers. Have they turned down the lights upstairs? The last time I drove by at night they were blazing full blast.
Eric
Magneto and I just got home after having dinner and beer at Patrick Henry. AWESOME!
Re post #20: Eric, at this point, you’re acting silly. Stop yammering on about it and just go.
I don’t know what is going on in this chain, so I’m just going to ignore it.
A few of us gathered there for dinner and drinks last night and found it to be perfect: another great addition to our increasingly walkable community.
The restaurant and bar were packed, as they deserve to be!
so now its the lights blazing that bug the resident crybaby of church hill. i really tried to stay off this message board but hufnhitler is just to tempting a target to pass up.nobody here posting under a fake name just another resident honestly sick to death of this self important knowitall cluck. jesus dude give your keyboard a rest. your omniscient act has worn as thin as a politicians credibility. and before you break out your cross directory and pretend you know where i live(see recent posts)remember when you look into the abyss it looks into you. go to patrick henrys. enjoy it or not but if you dont go then shut your big fat mouth. thanks for being such a geek it has really helped me reengage on issues near and dear to my heart. buddy(not your buddy)corbett
gray… was your comment called for or even necessary? I was trying to make light of what was said to me personally then making small talk about the food (a type I don’t like) and then asked a simple question. what was wrong with that? Sounds like you just rather have me “go” away from the blog site instead?
Eric
And there you go again.. I though someone said you left because you felt bad about attacking me abusively without real reason? Guess you have no morals or standards of decency?
Eric
Eric:
“Stop yammering on about it and just go”… I think she meant go to the restaurant and try it…
the food at patrick henrys is very good . thats the backbone of any successful restaurant coupled with an engaged attentive staff.our new neighbors deserve our patronage based on these two points alone. so lets not worry about their lights being too loud? let those who eat there opine all others out of”common decency” shut yer piehole
Thanks mike.
Eric, I like seeing you on the blog -you stir the pot, however, the trying to find yet another reason to dislike Patrick Henry’s has gotten silly.
gray… it isn’t “yet another” reason. I made an observation and early on was told the lighting was dim but saw otherwise when I drove by. It was an issue when Accapella was open and “many” people complained so they started dimming the lights in the dining room. We weren’t the only people complaining. I know when we visited the basement during Accapella days we turned off any lights near us without any complaints from the staff. I am not one of those people who has to “see what I am eating” but rather enjoy a relaxing evening with mood lighting and not feel like I am sitting in a baseball stadium.
Again, was only an observation.
Eric
Now there’s an idea. Instead of going to P-rick henry’s, you could go sit in the baseball stadium. Soon enough the lights there will be dim ALL the time.
Ain’t that the truth… a shame we are loosing our team :-(
Eric
anyone else up for a whip round so eric can be sent to dinner at patrique henri and we can all just put an end to this blooy nonsense?
should have been “bloody nonsense” but i’m still nursing a hangover from a wonderful meal, great company and far to many soda pops at the place last night.
magneto & JES, you best be going BACK to the pub ASAP so that i can join you.
also. does the drama never end? chpn is an endless stream of entertainment at my boring office job. thank you thank you thank you!
elphaba- If you think your job is boring- just think of our friend sportin’ the white nut duster? Everyday he lords over a captive in a dry well in his basement and chants “It rubs the on lotion or it gets a bad review on CHPN” He then pets his dog Precious while sewing some type of “woman suit”….
Back on topic I was at Patty Hens last night! It was busy, busy.
Sounds like we were all there last night, I was with the group with Matt C. and had a great time. Super staff and well prepared food. This place is a winner. Are the people at The Hill Cafe listening?
so i just got kicked out of que pasa, after spending $50 on drinks. granted it was after closing, but if you cant figure out how to tell your customers to leave with out being an absolute asshole, it shouldn’t be long before John goes out of business.
it sucks for him, but maybe when he has to sell the building, the next guy wont be such a dick! never going back, i couldn’t spit enough.
gee. some immature spitting drunk guy says he’s never going back to que pasa. what a loss.
And Mr and/or Ms 33rd street posted that at 1:13 in the morning…If the place was closed, then you obviously didn’t get the first or even third hint that John gave you; you needed to be told with upmost clarity that it was time to carry your butt out the door!
“but if you cant figure out how to tell your customers to leave with out being an absolute asshole, it shouldn’t be long before John goes out of business”
Somehow, I doubt John’s business plan hinges on the drink till closing and refuse to leave crowd…
33rd st,
$50 on drinks?! Was this a tab for one? If so, you might not have a memory of John asking you to leave politely.
Off the subject of drinks….
I joined some friends the other night at Patrick Henry’s and we sampled eachother’s dishes and the big winners at the table -the eggplant parmigiana with the perfect amount of crisp and delicious tomato sauce and the mussels with a light gorganzola sauce- as good as it gets people.
i like both que pasa? and the pub. i will be eating and drinking at both restaurants so that i keep my money in the neighborhood.
Dear Mr Huff in Puff
Last week, my cousin/brother-in-law/uncle called me screamin over and over “I caught him…I caught him” It took some effort before I got him to tell me who. “The D A M N GEIKO LIZZARD”.
Of course, I knew he hadn’t but I still drove over to his place to see what was going on. Sure enough, my cousin/brother-in-law/uncle was drunk and most likely stooned on goofballs again. And sure enough it was not a lizzard in his net, but instead the neighbors basset hound that someone had painted green.
Now, I hope this metaphor clarifys things.
It’s amazing what drugs can do to your mind. That last posting was truly a classic!
33rd St. Why should Sanchez risk his ABC licence on a $50 dollar tab. Be more conciderate of other people and buisness’
