Richmond police announced the arrest of 14 members of the “Church Hill Boyz”, a gang involved in violence and drug activity in the area around 22nd and T streets. [via]

During this investigation 20 firearms were seized. The Church Hill Boyz was identified as a gang through a First Precinct investigation that was initiated in August 2005. The gang also was known by the names “22,” “22nd Street,” and “Deuce-Deuce.”

    Glory Hallelujah!

We have had enough these gangs and the poison that they sell, the graffiti they leave on the playground, and impact they have had on our community. These guys went to school with our kids, showed up at the football games.

God bless the neighbors that helped to take them down by cooperating with the police. Thank RPD for your dedication.

There’s another gang in Fulton. Let’s hope they take that one down, too, before another young life is lost. It’s our neighborhood.

Hopefully this will mean a reduction in the dealing activity around R street and N. 24th. Things are worse there than they have been in 3 years and its all heroin and cocaine trafficing.

Hurray! Thanks to the RPD and all of the neighbors who were willing to fight for their neighborhood!

Thank you! To the men and women of the First Precint who worked so hard on this case. You give us hope and make us proud.

Also thanks to the teamwork with the Commonwealth Attorney’s office to craft indictments that will stick.

This shows that Richmonders really can work together with a variety of law enforcement/legal entities to get the job done.

The Church Hill Crime Watch left a msg last week about 6 boys roaming the streets and hitting a girl on the back of the head. Does anyone know if this is the same gang or a different one?

Thank all of you for your support. We could not have done this without you. there are several location in the eastend that we are working on. Hopefully you will see some improvement soon.

For those of you that have specific gang concerns in your neighborhood, please contact me via e-mail at hamlet.hood@richmondgov.com.

I KNEW that slaying Bonk was convicted of was gang-related. So, I guess that means there are still some ‘Boyz left here in the neighborhood. Well, watch your step because you’re not welcome here anymore. Murdering teenagers is not something to be proud of.
