that pic makes my day. it’s my new desktop background. thank you!
Rainbows like hearing birds sing are becoming rare.. thanks for sharing!
Eric
Like hearing birds sing? When I had the windows up in the mornings, the rare birds were so loud, they woke me up! This is meant in humor so please take it that way (but they are loud).
When the whippoorwills are out (not hear, but in the country), and of course they’re night birds, they can wake up the dead! So I know what you mean bob. Eric, I’m wondering about your end of the neighborhood, :).
I KNEW IT !!! THE POT O’ GOLD IS BURIED UNDER FAMILY MARKET !!(CHECK THE RAINBOW YOURSELF-) THIS EXPLAINS THE SHIFTY TYPES “ON POST” OUTSIDE. THAT’S WHAT THE F.B.I. CALLS A “CLUE” PEOPLE…I’LL ARRANGE FOR THE BOBCAT & SHOVELS AND Y’ALL DO THE REST.MUMS THE WORD. JACKPOT !!!! -”ECONOMIC STIMULUS” FOR ALL !!!
When I was growing up, you would hear birds sing all during the day but they are rare in the sense you only hear them for a short period of time or not at all - at least in the city, and a welcome sound to me. Like church bells which have almost been silenced because of P.C. I was awaken many times as a child on Sunday mornings to church bells playing songs - something I dearly miss.
Eric
“Rainbows…are becoming rare”
Please tell me you meant this to be satire…
When I first moved here, my neighbor had a chicken coop, and pigeon coop, and a rabbit hutch. And, yes, he raised and ate the animals he kept.
At dawn every morning, I would hear the rooster crow. I really enjoyed it, though. I felt like I was waking up in the countryside even though it was in the middle of a city.
mike… maybe it is pollution or climate changes but I use to see rainbows at least once a month growing up. I am lucky to see one as I drive along once a year now and I make it a point to look when the sun is out while it is raining which is the best time… nada, nothing.
Eric…ya wanna see rainbows. Just take a trip or move to Kauai. Was there in December and saw between 5 - 10 a day for 9 days straight….ahhh the islands
i saw two rainbows side by side the other day. didn’t seem so rare….and like 4 last week. maybe it’s cause i go outside…who knows?
ps the birds still sing too.
I must have saw what looked to be a double rainbow too the other day - at least when I saw the tail end of it the part near the horizon was extremely wide - wider than normal but didn’t seem to be a “double”. I saw a triple rainbow about 12 years ago in Ashland and that made the newspapers but they were not stacked but looked as 3 seperate rainbows.
Eric
Rainbows always come in pairs and maybe more.
