I know of a few homeless that absolutely refuse to give up their dogs and I don't blame them one bit as I'd find it hard to do so as well. But dogs are affected by the heat as much if not more than humans because they cannot sweat and water isn't always readily found on severely dry days. *sigh* It kinda bugs me that the city doesn’t provide a place for people with dogs to cool down as well.
