I would love to see a list of the people who stand to make the most money from the Echo Harbor and Shockoe Bottom Baseball Stadium.

If we could somehow get a list, we could then simply "follow the money" and try to find a way to appeal to their collective consciousness (or lack thereof).

Elliot, I happened to be there at sunset tonight, and there were twenty or so people in the park looking at the sunset.

The folks who live in the immediate vicinity will tell you that they REGULARLY have tour buses up there to see the view. By regularly I mean at least once a week, often more times. These are apparently the buses that also go to St. John's Church. From what I can figure, either before or after the church, the other stop is the view from the park of the river, with the sign that's on the rock down a little bit from the monument.

Since Rockett's is not allowing public river access, I think it would be a great idea if the city put a park with boat access in down there. And I don't live near there, I'm way north of Broad, so I don't have any vested interest.

They are right. I would much rather look at old vacant lots and abandonded buildings than something new. As I remember, the last time I was in the park, I was the only one there looking at the river. One person in 15 minutes is four an hour............hhhhmmmmmmmm.
