Arbor Day in Jefferson, Libby Hill, and Chimborazo Parks

Arbor Day activities are planned for Jefferson Park, Libby Hill Park, and Chimborazo Park. New trees including crape myrtles, Kentucky coffee trees, Valley Forge elms, a willow oak, yoshino cherry trees, will be planted by Richmond Tree Stewards, students, Boy and Girl Scouts, and neighbors.

7th District Council Representative Delores McQuinn and T.K.Somanath of the Better Housing Coalition hosted a community meeting about a proposed development at the former Beckstoffer’s on 28th Street. First Precinct creates litter cleanup program

First Precinct Environmental Officer Harold Ford says his biggest citizen complaint is litter. In response, he created the First Precinct Community Service Cleanup program, a collaborative effort among several city departments.
