Has anyone heard if McQuinn is running again? I hear her health is bad and she’s missed a number of Council meetings. Has anyone else expressed interest in running?

Rev. McQuinn is running. As a matter of fact, I just signed her petition and I will be voting for her.

Glad to see Parks on the agenda. The Friends of Jefferson Park will be meeting tonight, 7pm at the Central Montessori School. We will be preparing comments for tomorrow nights meeting.

We also be giving an update and discussing the proposed demolition of 2106 Cedar Street.

I signed the petition this morning. Rev. McQuinn is running. Overall, she has done a fantastic job.

    Where is the petition?

Will this be McQuinn’s 3rd term? I’ve lost track.

I think more than 3 terms? In any event, she has helped us out with emergency situations calling in the parks and trash units when people were evicted and possessions left piled on the street for weeks. I remember we gave her a call at home one Saturday and Sunday morning a pair of dump trucks and a front loader was called in to remove the debris. That is service! Just hope if she does have to pull out at some point that the next person in line is as accommodation!

What is McQuinn’s view of the closing of Bellevue? I would also like to know who she holds accountable for the scathing RPS audit report.

City Council candidates take on RPS and their plans on how they will work with RPS administration to improve the schools will greatly influence my decision.

I would like to see the RPS system catch up with the progressive and positive growth of Richmond and our neighborhood, Church Hill.

you should ask her to get you a parking spot.

  11. posted by gray at April 28, 2008 1:09 pm [#]:

There is plenty of parking in Church Hill. And when neighbors feel good about their district schools, there is no need to shove the kids in a car and drive them out of district and lose that precious parking space.

Church Hill is almost there –I can walk to the bank, grocery store, post office, restaurant, coffee shop, work, farmer’s market, train station, church, parks, museums, bus stops, etc. Now what about schools? Just a dream.

Well, I would like to know the information pertaining to two former school board members using gas inappropriately. That was also in the RPS audit.
