I can’t believe noone posted anything on this thread! It’s really great news, no matter what you think of Ukrop’s or Jim Ukrop, that he is supporting a public marina there!
I spoke to someone on Tuesday who said that Rockett’s Landing is posted, no walking through it and no public boat landing or launching, and that they’ve got security guards to enforce that. I’m not knocking Rockett’s, I know a couple of people who live there - but I think a public marina in this site would be a truly great idea, to say nothing of the fact that it would block Echo Harbor from turning it into a private, locked compound AND destroying the view from Libby Hill!
