as seen from New York

The New York Times peeps our recent Mayor/City Council/School Board issues in Famous Mayor Under Fire in Virginia, and, apparently unable to find a Wilder supporter in office, quotes the Mayor’s 7th District Roundtable representative (and former 7th District School Board Representative) Reggie Malone backing the mayor.

From the article:

“The school board is playing the victim when in fact they’re not,” said Reginald Malone, who retired from the board in 2004 to run for City Council. Mr. Wilder supported Mr. Malone in his unsuccessful run.

“Mr. Wilder gave them plenty of time to move,” Mr. Malone said. “Instead, they went behind his back to City Council for help. The mayor got two-timed. If this had been 10 or 20 years ago, nobody would’ve been able to do Mr. Wilder this way. I support him fervently, whether he’s right or wrong.”

Malone supports him when he’s wrong?!!! Fervently???!!

Are we beginning to get a sense that Doug’s drones are a big part of the problem here (a shoutout to Marty Jewell while I’m here)?

When you’d rather have it WRONG than cross Doug, you are not a leader — you are a yes man and a toady.

    Is Wilder really 77?

You should have seen Wilder’s face when he got booed at the 2 Street Festival. He looked shocked.

People are tired of Wilder and as for Malone, he has always been a yes man. Malone is as controversial as Wilder and plays the same games. I will never cast another vote for Wilder. As far as Malone, he can hang it up because he is just another dictator.Wilder and Malone deserve each other. Snakes will always crawl.

Well he is wasting our money and has no interest in helping the poor communities fight back against crime and definitely has no interest in putting more money and time into education or making sure all schools in Richmond get to an equal standing.

I’m ready for him to be gone.

I totally agree with C. He and Malone are a disgrace to humanity.

I wonder what Wilder’s next move will be if the current court case is not decided in his favor. He’s so arrogant, he may just resign than have to concede and play by the rules.

The Judge smacked it to Wilder. Thank Heavens…………………..

And Wilder won’t give up until he gets his way. According to a report from channel 12, he plans on spending even more time in court: http://www.nbc12.com/news/state/11121851.html

it looks like we are already headed back to the old status quo with hill-christian as the new city mgr/exo. pantale, hilbert, mcquinn & hicks as choices for mayor on the horizon.
