THURSDAY: East End zoning meeting

There will be a meeting concerning zoning in the East End tomorrow (Thursday) at 6PM at EDI on 25th Street. Given the brouhahas over the difficulties that businesses trying to open in the area experience, this should be a good one.

I won’t be able to make it. If anyone that goes would like to post back some feedback, that’d be *great*.

One Response to “THURSDAY: East End zoning meeting”

  1. posted by Laura Daab at October 18, 2007 2:28 pm :

The zoning meeting tonight is not a public meeting. It is an invitation only meeting for neighborhood association leaders and other community leaders in the East End community. Those invited received letters in the mail.

A public meeting will be held in the future. I have informed Tarisa Giffith, Planner with the city, of this posting and the possibility of more attending. No one will be turned away, however.

See her note to me below:

    Laura,

Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. You are correct
that we had planned on a smaller meeting this evening, with much larger
meetings to follow. With this new information, we will do what we can
to accommodate any additional guests tonight.

As we handle all public meetings of this nature, we will send out
invites to all property owners within and abutting our study area prior
to any larger scale presentations. This type of meeting will be planned
for Union Hill and Church Hill in the near future and with adequate
    notice to all property owners.

Thanks again for the update and feel free to contact me or send others
my way with future questions and comments.

    Have a great afternoon!
    Tarisa
