Does anyone know anything about the school yet? (I’m supposed to work this Saturday!)
Sarah, I think if you click the link in the original story posting, it takes you to their website and there is a way to contact them. Since I don’t have kids, I’ve not paid a lot of attention to this - but I have noticed it being written about. It’s my understanding that they’re going to open if they get enough kids enrolled - but I may have misunderstood that. If I had kids and was supposed to work but was interested, I’d click ‘contact’ on their website and get the facts, first. Good luck!
Thanks! After I posted, I did just that. Maybe I need a little more schooling!
Just to update the many people who have been such supporters and interested families…Central Montessori School’s opening has been put on hold until Art Dahlberg decides we can be opened. Meanwhile, our little school is becoming more and more wonderful with our books arriving and additional materials (finally) showing up. Stop by and say hi next time you are on Marshall and 2oth. Special thanks to the good people at New Light Baptist Church. Anita Pishko
seems the new montessori school (delay in opening due to a certificate of occupancy) is a victim of an inept city administration
How so, Bill?
Anita,
I really hope your school is successful and I wish you well in your struggle against the city bureaucracy, but I have to say …
the new fence in the front yard is incredibly tacky. I’m really hoping that’s a short-term solution and that the longer term design plan involves something more … um … appealing.
On behalf of the Friends of Jefferson Park, we welcome you to the neighborhood. Please let us know how we can work together on areas of mutual concern. We hope you will bring the kids up to the park real often and let us know how the park can better assist you in meeting the educational/play needs of your young folks. We are very happy you guys will be holding down the base of Jefferson Park.
