The game started closer to 7. Somewhere around dusk, it swicthed to a full contact game and started getting rough. Still, I thinl fun was had by all…well, all except for the two guys carted off in an ambulance. But the paramedics said that the doctors could remove the kick ball from that particular orifice….

It was a good game and a great idea on the organizer’s part to create such an event. More people should join us next week!

Some folks (myself included) in Petersburg have been flapping gums for a few weeks about kickball or ultimate frisfee down there, but it appears that no one knows enough about either game to get something going. Would any kind soul north of the James be willing to help a few folks south of the Appomattox get their heads around the basic rules of play 1 or 2 times? I’m sure you could get a great meal or two out of the deal. :-) If you’re interested, please let us know here.
