R&B star visits Armstrong

24-year-old R&B heartthrob Ne-Yo made a surprise appearance at Armstrong High School yesterday to discuss his background as a songwriter and urge students to take writing seriously. His recently established Compound Foundation aims to teach at-risk youths about academic and life skills. [via]
