police car accident at 31st and Clay Streets

Two police officers are recovering after an accident just before 4:30am at the intersection of 31st and Clay Streets. The driver of a Ford Expedition did not stop at the intersection, crashing into the police cruiser. Charges may be pending against the driver of the Expedition.[via]

2 shootings last night

A 37-year-old man was shot and wounded last night at about 7:15 p.m. in the 400 block of North 32nd Street. Coucilperson Delores McQuinn held a Town Hall meeting this morning at Mount Olivet Church. On the agenda were the plans for 25th Street and Nine Mile, the Echo Harbor project, an update from the First Precinct, and the East End Teen Center.
