Vigil for a drug dealer? Whats up with that….

Maybe if we let the police know about this they could round up a few more dealers.

Letting the police know about the drug dealers would help get them off the streets and may, in turn, save more lives than the dealers. It would make the community safer, too. Also, this victim was a cousin of a police officer. I’ll be the first one to say you can’t control what your family does because my family has its fair share of ne’er-do-wells. Please remember, someone loved the victim no matter what he did with his life.

The RTD has coverage of the vigil here.

In a purple suit with a Bible in hand, 51-year-old Curtis Bailey stood in front of a crowd of about 70 people in Richmond’s Church Hill neighborhood last night, spreading a message of forgiveness.[...]Bailey said retaliation would simply lead to another vigil. He urged the young people in the community to forgive so that another grieving mother won’t have to stand before them mourning the loss of a child.
