shooting at Jessamine and Burton
Officers called to the intersection of Burton and Jessamine just after 4:30am Saturday found a black male in his mid-40s to late 50′s facedown in the alley. Residents say they heard gunshots around 2:30am but didn’t think the shots were coming from the area. [via]

I live next door to Sam and actually called the police regarding the shooting…I had no idea a man was bleeding to death 30 feet from my front door. I described the shooting and a suspicious vehicle to the police but they NEVER responded. A passerby happened to notice the body and drove to 1st precinct to report it. Since my property taxes are now 105% greater, perhaps the city can use some of that money to hire more officers…
