we had a great crowd at the meeting. looking forward to the next “meet and greet” in March. Those of you who attended, please make a comment. Crime, Safety, Historical designation, sidewalks, trees, diversity.gentrifications…lets get tne discussion going!!

Sorry we could not attend the meeting. Look forward to the next. As far as sidewalks, me and my neighbors had the honor of having the city install a sidewalk, they (sort of) finished last week. It took nearly three weeks and 6-7 guys (and 3 large, expensive, 90% idle dump trucks..and no saw!) to do 3.5 fronts (with virtually no excavation). I had a contractor do our brick patio… think it took about 12 hours or so of comparable work. So, if you wonder why the whole neighborhood won’t get new brick sidewalks, now you know. An inefficient operation by the Dept. of Public Works to say the least.
Bill, thanks to you for hosting the kick-off. People brought good ideas and some enthusiasm to the meeting!
