That’s gonna make it a lot easier to see the drug dealers that hang out in the 1300 block of N 25th St.
I’ve heard a few times that there is a plan to put a grocery store at this corner.
I hope you’re right John.
there are drug dealers in this neighborhood!?
Sarcasm is a state of mind.
John–I have a suggestion, and I am not sure if it has been made before, but I think this website should be changed to a “log-in forum” site. I don’t think it is right for folks to make comments on this site without having to put any identifying info in their post. I know, ultimately, you have final say over what stays posted on this site, but the format should be changed to a members-only type, much like many of the other forums I belong to. Thoughts from others?
Thanks for your consideration.
With all due respect…I do not think that any policy that could serve to stifle the desire to put one’s two cents in would be a wise one. There may be folks, for whatever reason, who may fear political retribution for an opinion (they may be a city employee, for instance, who has some insider info), or may fear retaliation for a crime related posting from some local n’er do wells. (Perhaps the guys now exposed by the demolition on 25th!). Putting up with the occasional quip (however sophomoric) seems tatamount to putting up with your neighbors’ pink flamingo lawn ornamentation (however much irony that their placement is intended to elicit)..no biggy. Now, I may pull away from such an opinion if I were to see a rash of hate-filled diatribes on this site: but, ain’t seen that yet. So, keep up the good work and let it flow….
Thank you, John. You’re a good man!
Unless things get *really* hot, I’ll keep it open. I’d rather err on the side of getting people active.
I’ve only deleted 1 offensive message and that was a good while ago. We’ve really had very little bitterness considering how people can sometimes be when they think that they are anonymous.
Bob & John:
Thanks for the enlightenment. Good points made. I suppose we’ll see if it changes once popularity of this site spreads.
The house next to this was taken down today or yesterday. That block is emptying fast…
