Demolition on R Street
The 100+ year-old residence at 2318 R Street was torn down today.

On a hot corner, amidst a row of nondescript absentee-landlord rental properties, 2318 R Street had been vacant for some time. As recently as May, the backyard was a collection of bottles and trash.
A demolition crew is working at 509 N 35th today (8/20).
And those 2 very empty houses at 21st and Broad went down over the past few days… I wonder about all of this new demolition, I don’t remember it being this heavy before.
