It’s been nice seeing the sidewalk repair on blocks of Clay and Leigh recently, but the new bricks on the 2600 block of East Leigh only serve to highlight that neither side of the 2700 block of Leigh Street has a sidewalk at all.
How, after more than 100 years of being a neighborhood, are there still blocks without sidewalks?

Richmond: The city that needs sidewalks.

My imaginary sidewalk is worse (better?) than yours… (in part because the city has been promising it for years!)

Yessss!
They’ve already closed the ticket and are referring people to a different one. I can’t figure out how to search different tickets though? From the city: PLEASE REFER TO RVA # 101000036597, WHICH IS STILL OPEN
can we vote for the water meter in front of my house to be fixed? Broken for 3 years strong now 😉 ( sorry to be one of THOSE commenters )
Have you reported this on See Click Fix or 311? If so, I’d gladly upvote. If it’s leaking on your side of the meter, you’re paying a higher water bill. If it’s on their side, the city’s wasting water. I’ve had good luck calling these in as “Water Emergencies”
I called 311 the other day. I need to call again and call it an emergency. I believe its on their side as our water bill has not increased, this time anyway.
Thanks for getting this initiated! It looks like the item was closed. Is there somewhere else we should vote?

While we are at it: Here is another sidewalk related ticket to improve the treacherous sidewalk of 28th st ( 400 block ). https://seeclickfix.com/issues/3020084

What about the 3000 Block of E Leigh St? Both sides of the street do not have sidewalks either.
I nominate N Street between Chimborazo and 35th. (Or, like, all of N Street. I think there’s a lot of missing sidewalk on blocks with moderate to heavy foot traffic)
