School Supply Drives from our local partners!

Chip H writes us about the Rotary Club of Church Hill School Supply Drive!

Yes, the date is correct. You see, many worthy organizations and businesses are conducting school supply drives now. Besides being needed in a short time for the start of the school year, the selection of supplies and prices are at their best. But what about later in the school year, say after the new year begins? You don’t see many school supply drives then, but the need is still as great. The Rotary Club of Church Hill is inviting you to help with their school supply drive NOW for 2019. The schools we are collecting for are Bellevue Elementary, Chimborazo Elementary, and Franklin Military Academy and all collections will be given to the schools on the first day of school in 2019. During August 3 – August 11, you can drop off your donations to HoneyWhytes Burger Bar, 2116 E. Main Street or contact the Rotary Club of Church Hill through their Facebook page at: all@churchhillrotary.org. Future collection points will be announced soon.
Please help us make 2019 the BEST school year ever!

Jessica Snow Timley writes us:

My husband and I Pastor a church called Evolution Church in church hill. We have services at Franklin Military Academy. We will be hosting a Back to School Event on August 26th from 2-6pm and I wanted to know if you would promote our event on your page and maybe recommend vendors, sponsor, and organizations in Churchill that may want to participate in this event. We are really trying to make the event a success for the children in our community!

Join us as we host our annual Back to School Supply Bash. General admission is simply bringing enough supplies to donate to our students for the 2018-2019 school year.
We will have 50 backpacks filled with supplies for the first 50 students that show up. All supplies donated at the event will go directly to the surrounding schools in the Church Hill area.
We will have fun the entire family can enjoy which includes free food, great music, a bounce house for the kids, and different vendors.
RVSP now so we can gauge how many people will come.

@5 Try the Neighborhood Resource Center in Fulton on Wmbg. Rd. Or write to the Church Hill Association, President@cha.org and ask the same question. CHA is collecting and the president might also be able to point you in other directions, too.
