Richmond Fire Station #11 Raising Money for a Great Cause with Fun Events. Bar Crawl Anyone?

Good afternoon, I’m Lt. Keron Tull. I am currently the A Platoon Lieutenant at Fire Station 11 located at 1235 N. 28th St. In an effort to raise funds for the Richmond Area Muscular Dystrophy Association I.A.F.F. local 995 and Richmond Fire are Filling the Boot throughout the month of August.

Fire Station 11 is trying to raise at least $50,000 for the cause and the money will go towards helping children with this disease. While they will have collection spots set up in local businesses through the neighborhood anyone else that wants to participate by having a collection spot at their business let us know and we’ll put you in contact with Lt. Tull.

In addition to donations and collection points, they’re also hosting some events as well. One of the first is a Bar Crawl that is starting in Scott’s Adition. It should be a lot of fun. Click below for more details.

I would buy a fire dept t-shirt. Ever consider selling those as a fundraiser? I’ve seen smaller localities do it and raise good money

Dave,

A t-shirt is included with the registration fee for the bar crawl. We will be sure to consider the idea for future fundraisers. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
