Dear Churchhillians,

Our Chimborazo playground is in need of some loving attention. Our Boulefrogs Petanque club does its best every spring to trim grasses, bushes, and weed wack around the central plaza. The two flower beds at the entrance of the park and around the children’s playground will also need care. We are in urgent need of help. We have scheduled the day for community work on Saturday, 14 April, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Our plan is to use a homemade, chemical free, weed preventer and cardboard put down and covered with mulch. The city is providing us with mulch.

We’ll need a considerable amount of cardboard so if you have a source for cardboard please bring some.

Please bring a weed-wacker if you can and don’t forget gloves and other tools (e.g. snipper, shovel, lopper). We have some rakes, shovels etc. in the storage room.

Snacks and drinks will be provided but feel free to bring any other offerings.
