Save the Date: “The Spirit of Armstrong” coming in December

We are two University of Richmond faculty members, whose class in documentary drama is collaborating with the Armstrong Leadership Program and a committed group of Armstrong alums to conduct oral history inteviews and archival research and collectively research, write and produce a play about the storied history of Richmond’s first black high school—and about its current challenges.

This is our second such collaboration—our first, a play focusing on gentrification in Church Hill, was staged at Armstrong in spring 2016 for an audience of 300 Church Hill residents. […]
